SAUDA VOICE RECOMMENDS: Murder in Black & White

This may come as no surprise to some of you, but I no longer watch BET!  Black Entertainment Television my *ahem*!  The station should be called Black Exploitation Television since it simply perpetuates and reinforces stereotypes about black people these days, especially black women.  Thankfully, we have some new stations popping up that offer quality programming geared toward a black audience.  TV One is one such station. 

Starting last week, TV One began airing a four-part original series entitled, Murder in Black & White.  The series is hosted by Reverend Al Sharpton and examines four murder cases from the Deep South.   Here's a brief synopsis from TV One:

Caught in the racial conflict that has plagued the Deep South,  Rev. George Lee, Willie Edwards, and Lamar "Ditney" Smith and more were unfairly taken away from their loved ones. The victims' family and friends still live with the pain of not having justice for their loved ones and for the first time they, along with elected officials, speak out in an attempt to uncover the facts surrounding these unsolved, racially-motivated murders.

Don't miss Murder in Black and White as Rev. Sharpton explores individual cases of innocent victims during a horrific chapter in American history.
