BEAUTIFUL BLACK Sanaa Hamri is the film director who brought us the screen gems Something New and Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2. 


Ms. Hamri was born in Tangier, Morocco (North Africa) to a Moroccan father and Jewish American mother.  Prior to beginning her career in the entertainment industry, Ms. Hamri attended Sarah Lawrence College where she studied theater. 


Ms. Hamri first gained her directorial chops by directing music videos and has done so for such notable artists as Prince, Lenny Kravitz and Mariah Carey.
