Of course, the majority of us already knew we weren't, but that didn't stop the MSM from spinning it that way. Or, keep some in the LGBT community from taking the hate-filled bait.
On virtually every news station, whenever there was a report on the passage of California's Proposition 8 (ban on gay marriage), mention of the "70% of blacks voted for it" statistic would not be far behind - as if the report would be incomplete without it's inclusion.
My how things have changed. A new report was just released by the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force revealing that blacks voted only 57-59% in favor of the proposition, a stark contrast from the oft-repeated 70% figure. The study further found that "party affiliation, political ideology, frequency of attending worship services, and age" were the primary determining factors, not race, in whether a voter supported or opposed the measure. What? Ya think?
