Family, I had to create a whole new category for this story. It is beyond Stuck on Stupid so I couldn't put it in my usual category for outright foolishness and stupidity. I guess this will be the category reserved for black folks who embarrass and offend the rest of us, especially black women.
Washington Redskins' nose tackle Albert Haynesworth, known more for his bad behavior and poor attitude than any kind of skill on the football field, was slapped with a misdemeanor sexual abuse charge in connection with a February 12th incident at the W Hotel in Washington, D.C. A waitress alleges he fondled her breasts while her hands were full carrying glasses.
Mr. Haynesworth denied the charges and rejected the prosecutor's offer to dismiss the charge in exchange for a guilty plea of simply assault. He entered an official not guilty plea on May 10th.
When later confronted by hotel security and investigators, Mr. Haynesworth denied the allegations and said the following in his defense:
“I know what this is about. She is just upset I have a white girlfriend. I couldn’t tell you the last time I dated a black girl. She was trying to get with me. I don’t even like black girls."
The waitress was African American (I'm sure you figured that out from Mr. Haynesworth's idiotic comments). This man's words are wrong and offensive on so many levels.
On the one hand, Mr. Haynesworth feels the need to proclaim to the world how he doesn't like "black girls" and makes the assumption that the black waitress (and likely all black women) is somehow upset by his having a white girlfriend. Newsflash: She likely could give two sh*ts about his romantic life or choice in romantic partner. She probably cared more about her possible tip than anything else. And after his disgusting behavior, I'm sure it was obvious that he was one black man that she, and no other self-respecting black woman, would ever want to be with anyway.
On the other hand, Mr. Haynewsorth's words reflect the mind of a classic sexual abuser. He refers to the woman he allegedly fondled as a "girl" rather than the adult woman she is, clearly demonstrating his lack of respect for her. He uses the excuse that "he doesn't even like black girls" as proof that he couldn't have abused her. Sexual abuse is about power and humiliation with offenders often targeting those they most dislike or least respect. So his comment about not liking black women proves absolutely nothing. In fact, it may hint at the possibility that he COULD HAVE done it.
